Damien became a Authorised marriage celebrant in 2026, for civil ceremonies of marriage.

A marriage celebrant is an authorised person who officiates weddings, ensures the marriage complies with legal requirements, and guides the couple through the ceremony process.

Marriage ceremonies conducted will be done in accordance with the Guidelines on the Marriage Act 1961 for authorised celebrants.

I am committed to making your wedding day unforgettable. With years of experience in the wedding industry, I know how to create a personalized ceremony that reflects your unique love story.

 My ceremonies are welcoming, respectful, and tailored for every couple, including LGBTQIA+ partners.

Being an MC carries multiple responsibilities. These include: 

- Welcoming guests and parties.

- Announcement of key moments such as speeches, cake cutting, first dance, entrance and exits, etc.

- Coordinating with venue, managers and suppliers/vendors.

- Managing time and transition between activities and much more! 

After being involved in and operating over a thousand events, I have witnessed and participated in a diverse range of weddings, each requiring different outcomes and expectations. These can be tailored to what you wish to include and require, creating a time efficient, smooth and professional outcome on your special day.

I have been involved in the wedding and events industry for over a decade, with the majority of that time in a leadership position. This has led me to being involved with hundreds of weddings.  

I have been the main point of contact for multiple events large and small. These include company conferences, dinners/meetings, university balls and galas, birthdays and milestone events, and of course wedding ceremonies and receptions.

Weddings are where my passion is. They present a huge responsibility and a true meaningfulness not only to the couple, but myself and everyone involved. Weddings reflect a personal life milestone which is remembered forever.

My previous experience was at a well known Brisbane wedding and events venue, which I worked with for 12 years. Some accolades and achievements include averaging around 160-200 weddings a year, nominated for best ceremony and wedding venue through ABIA (Australian Bridal Industry Academy) and multiple positive online and personal feedback reviews.   

With my knowledge and understanding of how weddings operate, this has led me to branch out for myself. I consistently endeavour to fulfil my duties as a Marriage Celebrant and Professional MC to the highest standard by using my industry experience to help guide and prepare couples for their envisioned wedding day.
